Mrs. Tena joins the Southwest Team as a Paraprofessional working with Kindergarten and First graders. Welcome to Southwest Mrs. Tena!  

Who was/is the most influential person in your life?

The most influential person in my life is my mom. She always looks at the positive in every situation no matter what. She is who keeps me grounded. Also, my two beautiful kids, Ailani and Aiden make me a better person, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I have learned so much through them, and my son inspires me to be better Aide for Mrs. Candra's class!

If you could meet any historical figure which one would it be?

I would have loved to meet Frida Khalo. She is such an amazing artist. Another historical figure I would like to have met Mother Theresa. She is such an inspiration and the most humble, noble person who cared for others.

What is your favorite place to vacation?

My favorite place to vacation is Mexico. There is so much to see and discover and learn from all its regions. All the beautiful beaches, mountains, deserts, jungles, and ancient ruins and its Mayan City. Its museums are striking, and its cuisine is exquisite.

If you could be on any TV game show, which one would it be?

If I could be in a TV game show it would have to be Ellen's Game of Games; it's hilarious! Plus, who wouldn't like to meet Ellen DeGeneres! Also, I would have to say Dancing with the Stars, I love to dance and learn new techniques and dance genre.

Where did you work before Southwest?

Before working at Southwest, I worked as an Interpreter for a school district in Posen. Prior to that, I was an Assistant Manager for a very popular retail store.

Fun Facts about me:

I love playing Volleyball; it has always been my favorite sport since grammar school. I love watching Football, and I try to attend to as many games as possible. I love anything that has to do with makeup and shopping. The thing that relaxes me the most is cooking!
