Books and Beyond club is giving Southwest Students in grades 1-3 a great opportunity to read and interact with new books. Students in the club have a chance to collectively read a book, discuss it, and complete some kind of extension activity. This activity can be some kind of a craft or a game. In the first session, the students read Awesome Autumn by Bruce Goldstone.  They then created fall trees by painting with Q-tips. Books and Beyond meets twice a week after school and is sponsored by Mrs. Malone. Check out some photos of the great work completed by the students at their last club meeting.
