We are looking for parents/guardians to be a part of our Universal PBIS Team. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Southwest school provides supports to all students by specifically teaching and positively reinforcing expected behaviors. You may have heard about these expected behaviors from your students when talking about the “3 Be’s”. They are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. The universal team looks at schoolwide behavior data to notice trends and plan any additional supports for students and staff. The Universal Team also plans Annual, Quarterly, and “Out of the Blue” Celebrations for Southwest. The team typically meets after school, one Thursday per month from 3:15- 4:15 pm.
