Fourth grade students from Southwest School raised more than $600 for the Hurricane Relief Fund by running a lemonade stand on a Sunday afternoon.
The group of girls got the idea to open the lemonade stand after reading the book “Lemonade Wars” in their book club.
Southwest Principal Mrs. Patricia Bogdan said she was extremely proud of the students.
“They did a great job!” Bogdan said. “These girls continue to exhibit teamwork skills at school and on the weekends.”
