Southwest Celebrates Second Quarter Success

Knowledge is Power is the theme for the 2019-20 school year. The end of each quarter is an excellent opportunity to reflect on and celebrate our successes. It is also a time to refocus our efforts on our goals. Southwest students took some time to do both of these things on Friday the 17th, which was the last day of the second quarter. Our amazing iLead Team gave a presentation to help us reflect on our 2nd quarter PBIS data.

We also celebrated. It was "Winter Day," so students wore their winter gear throughout the day to show their school spirit. Students were also treated to a fantastic assembly from "Crosstown Exotics." During the assembly, students learned about exotic creatures and even interacted with a few of them. This fit our theme well because many of the animals we learned about may appear scary, but after learning a little more about them, don't seem so bad. After all, "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER"! Thanks to the SW Boosters for providing this great opportunity for our students. See some pictures from the day below.
