Just because the summer is nearing its end doesn’t mean your garden still can’t be beautiful. On Tuesday, September 24th, Southwest students worked with Mrs. Bogdan to plant some fall flowers in the school garden. Students used their math skills to determine the appropriate placement of the flowers. Even though there will not be any food planted this fall, Southwest students still had an opportunity to learn about nutrition and eating healthy. All grades will help to care for the plants throughout the fall season.  We are already making plans for another robust spring harvest, so stay tuned for more information about spring planting.
