12 from 4th and 5th grade competed in the Southwest Spelling Bee. Each of the fourth and fifth-grade homerooms selected their top three spellers for the competition. All the students in the 3rd through 5th grade gathered in the gym to cheer on their peers. The spellers did a tremendous job throughout the competition. Ella O.(4th-Grade) took home the top prize, and Zachary B. (5th-Grade)  was the runner up. Zachary will be the 5th grade representative in 42nd Annual Lenon Wisdom Memorial Spelling Bee.
