In 1986, I started my career as an aide for Southwest School and worked with different grade levels. During the 1987 - 1988 school year, I was offered the fourth grade position at Southwest School. I am beginning my 29th year as a fourth grade teacher and loving every minute. I love teaching, but my passion is Science. My goal every year is to pass this passion onto my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading on my Nook, spending time in Michigan at the family lake house, and hanging out with my family.
I attended Illinois State University and earned a BS in Education. Years later, I went back to school and earned my MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University. I continue to take class to stay current with my profession.
I am looking forward to working with your child to help them find their passion and "Take the Challenge" to be the best they can be!
